We wish to appoint a full time, (or part time considered), Teacher of Mathematics to join our successful Faculty, to achieve outstanding outcomes for our students in the coming years. We wish to appoint an outstanding Assistant Head of Science to work with our Head of Faculty – Science to ensure the achievement of excellent outcomes for our students in Science.

The appointed candidate will work closely with the Head of Faculty and one other Assistant Head to ensure that the academic delivery of the science subjects is of a high standard. They will be an exceptional teacher who is excited about providing an enriched curriculum experience to inspire our students.

Whether the candidate is an experienced leader seeking a new challenge or someone taking a first step into leadership, they will be supported with strong in-house support and NPQ training opportunities.

The Science Faculty consists of six full time and three part time teachers of Science and one full time lab technician. Of which there are four Biology specialists, three Chemistry specialists and two Physics specialists. At Key Stage 4, all students study Separate Sciences and at Key Stage 5 all three A Level subjects are offered. Teachers will teach within their specialism at Key Stage 4 and 5, but be expected to cover all three subjects at Key Stage 3.

We are seeking to appoint a Key Skills Teacher to offer inclusive provision to Sixth Form students. This is an excellent opportunity to join the Academy during an exciting time of its’ development, working within the Social Sciences faculty and lead by the Assistant Head of Sixth Form to provide a supportive and forward-thinking working environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for using an innovative and holistic approach to deliver the English and/or Maths Functional Skills curriculum to post-16 students in the Academy. The post holder will work in a small group setting, to nurture students for them to succeed and secure their Level 2 qualifications, enabling them to progress to their future destinations. Alongside this, the post holder will also deliver a range of skills and careers-based programmes of learning, including securing meaningful work experience placements and completing the ASDAN Certificate of Personal Effectiveness qualification.

To be successful in this role you will have prior experience of delivering Functional Skills or teaching English/Maths. Experience of adapting teaching to meet the needs of learners with SEND would also be desirable.

We are looking for an outstanding HLTA to work within the Academy’s Life Centre provision. This role will work closely with the Leader of the Life Centre to support the educational needs of the students who are taught within the Life Centre.

Ideally the successful candidate will hold a HLTA qualification, but applications will be considered from unqualified applicants working towards or willing to work towards the qualification.

The Life Centre is based within the Academy and is a provision set up to support students who have additional behavioural or emotional needs that have led to them being removed from mainstream lessons within the Academy. The group of students taught within the Life Centre are encouraged to achieve the best qualifications they can by the Life Centre team (which consists of the Leader and a Deputy Leader of the Life Centre, plus, a full time teacher and an HLTA).
