Mathematical Challenge winners

Posted: 9th May 2024

The Junior Mathematical Challenge was held on Thursday 25th April for around eighty Year 7 and 8 students. The challenge, run by the UK Mathematics Trust, ‘encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and fluency to make students think.’ All the students worked hard, did their best and navigated the problems with confidence.

We are pleased to announce that, amongst some amazing performances, the following students have received awards for their high scores:

Bronze – Tillie, Megan, Paula, Jake, Mateusz, Nicola, Alexandra, Shalom, Grace, Olivia and Diana.

Silver (and also joint best in Year Group) – David and Emmanuella.

Gold (and also best in Year Group and best in the Academy) – Ben

Ben is the first student to achieve a Gold award in All Saints’ Academy’s history, and his outstanding score of 114 out of a possible 135 also gives him a free pass to the next round of the competition.

Well done to our Bronze, Silver and Gold students, all who participated, and a big thank you to all the staff that helped make the challenge happen.
