Chaplaincy
A huge and warm welcome to all our students, families, and staff as we begin a brand-new academic year! We hope you all had a restful and refreshing summer break. There is a wonderful energy around the school, and as a department, we are incredibly excited for all that we have planned in the months ahead.
A special welcome goes out to our new Year 7 students, who have already had a brilliant start to their journey with us. To mark the start of their time at All Saints Academy, our Year 7s went on a dedicated Retreat Day. It was a fantastic opportunity to step away from the normal routine, build new friendships, and reflect on what it truly means to be part of the ASA family. Through team activities, quiet reflection, and shared discussion, our students explored how we can support, encourage, and care for one another as a community.

As our Year 7s embark on this new chapter and as the rest of our school community steps into a new year, we want to remind every student that they have a unique light to shine. Whether through kindness, academic effort, creativity, or friendship, each individual contributes to making our ASA family bright and welcoming.
As a Chaplaincy team, we are holding our entire school community in our prayers as we navigate the year ahead. We pray for confidence for our new students, wisdom for our staff, and peace and happiness for all our families.

Careers
We start the year reflecting on the success of our Year 11 and 13 leavers this summer. 99% of our Year 11 leavers progressed on to further education, an apprenticeship or a job with training. For our Year 13 leavers, most progressed on to university, including our first-ever student to secure a place at Oxford University. Many students progressed on to apprenticeships or employment, including a Law degree apprenticeship, an Aircraft Engineering apprenticeship with the RAF and a Radiography Assistant with the NHS. We wish every student the best with their next steps and hope to keep in touch with them, so they can be involved as alumni in our careers programme in future.
This year, we have planned a range of careers activities designed to help students make decisions about and apply for their next steps after All Saints'. This includes mock interview events, college taster days and university trips. As a parent or carer, if you are looking to build your own knowledge on the future options for your child, take a look at the website Talking Futures. In addition, Career Pilot has great information for students about post 16 and 18 choices, and Prospects is brilliant for understanding the breadth of job sectors and jobs out there.
