AdmissionsSixth Form Admissions and Priority Criteria
We welcome applications to All Saints’ Academy Sixth Form from both current All Saints’ Academy students and students joining us from other schools.
Entry requirements
All applicants must meet our Sixth Form academic entry requirements. Students must achieve a minimum of five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English Language, and must also meet any individual entry requirements for the courses they wish to study.
The same academic entry requirements apply to both current All Saints’ Academy students and external applicants.
Current Year 11 students who meet the minimum academic entry requirements and wish to continue into our Sixth Form will be able to transfer into Year 12.
Availability of places
The Published Admission Number (PAN) for Year 12 is 125 students. Once the number of current All Saints’ Academy students transferring into Year 12 is known, it may be possible to admit additional external applicants where demand exists and facilities and resources allow.
Oversubscription and priority criteria
Where there are more eligible external applicants than places available, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:
-
Looked After and Previously Looked After students who meet the academic entry requirements.
-
All other applicants who meet the academic entry requirements.
-
Where applicants cannot otherwise be separated, priority will be given to the applicant living closest to All Saints’ Academy. Distance is measured in a straight line between the applicant’s home address and the Academy using Gloucestershire County Council’s designated measuring system.
-
Where distances are equal, places will be allocated by independently supervised random allocation.
Students with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) which names All Saints’ Academy are admitted through the relevant statutory process.
