Year 12 visit Deloitte

On 16th June, a group of year 12 students spent the day at Deloitte’s office. They learnt all about careers in the business world through a panel event with Q & A, then got stuck into some practical activities to prepare them for making job and apprenticeship applications. First, they carried out a ‘mock government’ team activity, similar to the kinds of team tasks that are a part of Degree Apprenticeship applications, and then took part in mock interviews, refining their techniques in answering interview questions.

On 18th June, a group of students from year 9 visited the Oxstalls Campus of the University of Gloucestershire to learn more about university life. They met current undergraduates, had a tour of the campus, designed their own universities and learnt more about what being a university student is like. With thanks to GROWS for funding and organising the day.

These activities are all part of our comprehensive careers programme at All Saints’, which aims to make sure students are aware of the opportunities available to them, to be ambitious and excited about the post-school route they have chosen and make high-quality applications for their chosen next step, which they transition into successfully.

Chaplaincy Update

It has been another busy and encouraging term within the Chaplaincy. The Shine Course for girls has been progressing well, and it has been wonderful to see the participants engaging thoughtfully with the programme and growing in confidence.

Our KS3 Bible Study group has continued its journey through the book of Psalms. Together, we have been exploring who God is and what the Psalms teach us about His character, faithfulness, and love.

We are delighted to announce that the Tanzania 2027 Team has now been selected. There has been great enthusiasm for this opportunity, and we are incredibly excited to begin preparing for this life-changing experience.

This term, our school value has been Service. Through our Acts of Worship, students have been challenged and inspired by stories of individuals who have demonstrated servant-hearted leadership and compassion. We have encouraged everyone to consider how they can put service into practice in their everyday lives, both within school and beyond.

Looking ahead, preparations for the next academic year are already underway, and we are looking forward to celebrating together at our End of Year Eucharist Service, giving thanks for all that has been achieved and reflecting on God's faithfulness throughout the year.

Thank you for your continued support of the Chaplaincy and its work within our school community.

Year 13 Ball

Year 13 students gathered at Hatherley Manor Hotel & Spa on Thursday 18 June to celebrate the end of their time at ASA and mark the culmination of their Sixth Form journey.

The evening brought together students who have been part of the ASA community from the very beginning, alongside those who joined our family along the way. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on shared memories, celebrate achievements, and look ahead to exciting new chapters.

A highlight of the evening was the awards ceremony, featuring a range of awards voted for by the students themselves. This year also saw the introduction of the Cornwell Awards, a special new category presented by our Head of Sixth Form, Ms Cornwell, recognising students who have made a significant contribution to the Sixth Form community during their time at ASA.

Guests enjoyed a delicious BBQ, took advantage of the beautiful summer evening for sunset photographs, and filled the dancefloor throughout the night, creating a fantastic atmosphere and a memorable celebration.

As our Year 13 students prepare to embark on the next stage of their journeys, whether that be university, apprenticeships, employment, or other exciting opportunities, we would like to thank them for the positive impact they have had on our Academy community.

We wish every member of the Class of 2026 the very best for the future and look forward to welcoming them back to ASA as alumni in the years to come.

Year 11 Prom

Year 11 students enjoyed a truly unforgettable evening at Manor by the Lake on Tuesday 23 June, as they gathered to celebrate the end of an important chapter in their journey at All Saints' Academy.

The celebrations began with students making incredible arrivals. From sports cars to an ice cream van, and even a wheelbarrow! The creativity on display was remarkable. It was wonderful to see so many families gathered to cheer on and greet students as they made their amazing entrances, creating a fantastic atmosphere from the very start of the evening.

Despite temperatures soaring above 34°C, spirits remained high as students enjoyed a wonderful celebration of everything they have achieved during their time at ASA so far. Guests were treated to a beautiful dinner before taking a trip down memory lane, reflecting on memories and milestones from the past five years at All Saints'.

A highlight of the evening was the awards ceremony, hosted by Mr Smyllie. The ceremony featured awards voted for by the students themselves, alongside the Progress Leader Awards, recognising the achievements, contributions and successes of members of the Year 11 cohort.

Excitement continued to build for the premiere of the much-anticipated Year 11 Celebration Video. This year's edition featured some very familiar faces dressed as the Spice Girls, bringing plenty of laughter and showcasing the fun and spirit that make Academy life so special.

The evening concluded with a packed dancefloor, where students danced the night away despite the summer heat. Armed with glow tubes and endless energy, they made the most of every moment in the beautiful and elegant surroundings of Manor by the Lake.

A huge thank you goes to the Prom Committee for their hard work and support in planning such a successful event.

We are incredibly proud of everything our Year 11 students have achieved and look forward to welcoming many of them back in September as they begin the next stage of their journey in Sixth Form. Until then, we wish them a well-deserved summer filled with rest and fun.

My child’s motivation to go to school has increased dramatically since moving to All Saints’ Academy from primary school. I am so glad she is actively taking part in lessons and she is building confidence every day.
