Principal's Welcome
ASA Parent Forum: Ask, Share, Act
We are looking to establish an ASA Parent Forum and would love to hear from parents and carers who would like to get involved.
The forum will focus on:
Feedback – giving parents a voice.
Fundraising – supporting opportunities for our students.
Pre-loved Uniform – helping families access affordable uniform.
Whether you can offer ideas, lend a hand at events, or simply want to help shape our school community, we would love for you to be part of it.
Interested? Please complete the expression of interest form below, and we'll be in touch with details of our first meeting.

Chaplaincy
Looking Back & Looking Forward
It is hard to believe that we have already reached the end of term! The past seven weeks have flown by in a whirlwind of activity, energy, and community spirit. It has been an immensely exciting and fruitful start to the academic year across all areas of our Chaplaincy life.
From our Acts of Worship and inspiring form chapel sessions to our weekly Christian Union gatherings and Bible studies, students have engaged with real enthusiasm and depth. A particular highlight of this term was our Year 7 Retreats, where our newest students came together to build friendships, reflect, and settle into our school community.
We are so proud of everything our students have contributed so far, but we are only just getting started. We have even more in store for next term and cannot wait to get stuck in when we return!
A Reflection as October Closes: Looking Past the Pumpkin Lights
As we break for the holiday, many of our students will be looking forward to Halloween. While modern celebrations focus on costumes and pumpkin carving, it is worth remembering the rich history behind the day.
The word Halloween comes from "All Hallows' Eve", the evening before All Hallows' Day or, more poignantly for us, All Saints' Day, a time historically set aside to remember saints, martyrs, and all the faithful departed. It is a season originally focused on honouring good lives, hope, and the ultimate triumph of light over dark.
In the Bible, John 1:5 reminds us: "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." As the autumn nights draw in and the days grow shorter, Halloween serves as a wonderful cultural reminder to carry light, warmth, and kindness into our communities, focusing on positivity, joy, and looking out for one another.
Wishing You a Blessed Break
Thank you to all our staff, students, and families for your support, energy, and prayers throughout these first seven weeks. We hope you all have a wonderful, restful, and safe half term. Get plenty of rest, enjoy time with loved ones, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed for another vibrant term!

What a game for the ASA Football Development Team!

There were some fantastic performances from the team yesterday in their first match against Newcastle and Stafford College, with plenty of action and a nail-biting finish!
A huge congratulations to Philip on scoring and to Leo for a brilliant hat-trick! Leo was deservedly named Man of the Match!
The game was locked at 4-4 heading into the final moments, but with just two minutes of extra time remaining, Newcastle and Stafford College found the net one last time to edge a dramatic finish.
A tough result to take after such a competitive performance, but plenty of positives to take away. Well done to everyone involved!
If you're interested in playing for our team, book a space at our Sixth Form Open Evening and come along to find out more.
