On Sunday 26th January Mr Rollason, Mr Chapman and Mr Pierce took 10 students to Birmingham to watch the British Basketball finals at Arena Birmingham.
A total of 9244 people crammed into Arena Birmingham for Sunday’s final, topping the previous record attendance by more than 400.
The bumper audience were treated to two thrilling games of basketball, with Worcester Wolves defeating Bristol Flyers to win the men’s cup final, and Sevenoaks Suns defeating Durham Palatinates to take the women’s title.
The day’s entertainment was completed by cheerleaders, mascots, and freestyle basketball players performing a dazzling range of acrobatic slam dunks.
