Last Tuesday we hosted our annual Careers Festival with more exhibitors than ever before! Students asked brilliant questions, took the opportunity to learn more about their future options and even secured work experience opportunities off the back of conversations with employers. Everyone attending was very positive about our students and commented on how polite they were – we are very proud of them!
The coming months are a busy time for all things school careers, with work experience taking place for both Year 10 and 12 in March, careers drop-down mornings for Year 9 and 10, and an apprenticeship workshop for students in Year 12.

As we come to the end of the season of Epiphany, we are invited to pause and reflect on God’s light revealed to us, guiding us forward with hope and purpose. It is hard to believe that we are already halfway through the first half term — a time that has been filled with learning, growth, and moments of community.
Looking ahead, we are preparing and getting excited for Prayer Week, taking place from 9th to 13th February. This special week offers us all an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and deepen our prayer life together as a school family. The Chapel will host interactive prayer stations, all connected to the theme of Being Light in the World.
I want to remind you that there is an open invitation to join me for a time of prayer every Thursday, from 09:15–10:00, at ASA in the Chapel. It would be wonderful to come together in this shared space of stillness and unity and pray for our school community.
In a busy world, prayer reminds us of God’s promise of peace:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.” (John 14:27)
May this peace be with our school community as we move through the rest of the term.

Our CEP Young Designers group has been using National African flowers as inspiration to create a show-stopping fashion entry for this year’s CEP Young Designers project. Using AI as a design tool, students have explored how to combine two cultures into one to create a breathtaking final piece. Students will use their National African flower to incorporate into their Great British icon dress design. This could include a dress shape that includes the curves of the London Eye, or the symbolism of the London Buses or the textures of a Great British Tea Bag! This project is in partnership with the Lives of Colour society, with founder Florence Nyasamo at the centre of this fantastic initiative.

At All Saints’ Academy, we celebrate student involvement, and student satisfaction is a top priority. Recently, we have been impressed by how engaged and proactive students have been in shaping improvements through our new scheme, ‘You Say, We Do’. Students have been asked to voice their concerns and issues within the Academy that require improvement or upgrading. The issues raised by students are being appropriately addressed, ensuring students are heard.
We’ve seen an increase in student participation in sport and enrichment, and therefore a higher demand for new nets on the basketball courts. New nets have been purchased and installed, and are being enjoyed by many during breaks, enrichment and PE.
Our swift action and commitment to student wellbeing has resulted in cleaner, better-resourced toilet facilities. An improvement mentioned by students was to enhance the cleanliness of toilets within the Academy. We have made this a priority and have now increased the frequency with which the toilets are cleaned to six times a day, ensuring constant cleanliness throughout the Academy. Furthermore, additional sanitary boxes and products have been added to cubicles to ensure that all students’ needs are met.
The Academy has improved organisation and efficiency at break and lunch times. New barriers were purchased, and each year group now has their own queuing system, which allows for an improved and faster queueing system for food and drink. Additional tables and chairs have been added in the Loaves and Fishes area at the far end, which allows more students to sit inside whilst eating.
Our Swap Shop has become an integral part of life at the Academy. Due to popular demand, we have expanded and refreshed our range of items available in exchange for tickets. Exciting, themed Fuzzies are now available for students to work towards – and there’s more to come, so keep collecting those tickets! Following the success of Term 1’s reward, students asked for another indoor inflatable for the Term 2 streak reward. You said, we did – new inflatables were booked and were enjoyed by everyone who completed this streak.
We are proud of our Academy community and the partnership between students and staff. As student voice at ASA continues to shape the Academy’s future, students should reach out to Progress Leaders or speak to Mr Bradley if they’d like to share their thoughts.
