All Saints’ Academy is pleased to share that it is now running on cleaner energy, thanks to funding for new solar panels from Great British Energy, as part of a scheme with the UK government, which will help save money on energy bills.
All Saints’ Academy is one of up to 250 schools and colleges across England to receive its share of up to £255 million in funding from Great British Energy and government to install new solar panels across school rooftops, alongside other energy efficiency measures.
Once completed, this solar installation will generate clean energy for our school, while savings on energy bills will be reinvested in students’ education.
This is part of the government’s 10-year plan for national renewal, a decade-long effort to transform schools and colleges across the country.
This is the time of year when apprenticeships start to be advertised for both Year 11 and 13 students who are leaving school in the summer. To help students and their parents/carers learn more about apprenticeships and meet employers who are looking to recruit apprentices, we are hosting a community Apprenticeship Roadshow at All Saints’ Academy. It will take place on Tuesday 24th March between 5pm – 7pm in the Cotswold Hall. There will be a range of different apprenticeship providers present to talk informally, as well as a panel discussion with the chance to ask questions and get answers. If you would like to attend, please sign up following this link – https://www.tickettailor.com/events/gloucestershirecareershub/2006482. Parents of any year group can attend – it’s never too early to start learning more about future options.
On Thursday 26th March Year 9 will be participating in their careers drop-down morning, themed around apprenticeships. It will include a talk from the NHS on apprenticeships available in a whole range of careers, including healthcare, finance, administration and facilities management. This will be followed by learning about labour market information and our biggest local and national employment options, and end with the chance to speak to and learn from apprentices in classroom talks.

As we move through the season of Lent and begin to see the signs of spring, we are reminded that this time of year offers a special opportunity to pause, reflect, and reset. Just as the natural world begins to renew itself, Lent invites us to consider our own lives — how we grow, how we care for one another, and how we move forward with renewed purpose.
This season connects closely with one of our Academy values: Reconciliation. Reconciliation encourages us to rebuild relationships, to show forgiveness, and to seek peace with those around us. Lent is a meaningful time to reflect on how we can live out this value in our school community each day.
We are also delighted to welcome a new member to the Chaplaincy team, Jenni Norris, who joined us this month. Jenni’s role focuses on strengthening the connection between our school and the wider community. You will be seeing and hearing much more from Jenni in the weeks and months ahead as she helps create new opportunities for us to engage, serve, and grow together.
As we begin to look ahead to Holy Week, we would like to take this opportunity to offer our prayers and support to all members of our school community.
May you be blessed in this season of reflection, and please know that the Chaplaincy team is praying for you.
