We’ve had an exceptionally rewarding day today as we welcomed our costume and puppet design students from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama – Coleg Brenhinol Cerdd a Drama Cymru.
We are delighted to continue our aspirational collaboration with the RWCMD team and today welcomed Scenic Design lecturer Laura and her students to spread some magic with our students delivering their handmade maquette puppets of Olaf and Sven. As we get closer and closer to our production of Frozen, showcasing as Music Theatre International – Europe and Disney’s competition winning West Regional Premiere School, we are excited to challenge our creativity with the wonderful puppets delivered today. Students were taught how to move with them on stage and we can’t wait to see the final finished products!
Alongside this, costume designer Annie worked her magic with our very own Elsa as she shared an industry-standard costume fitting experience with our students, training and developing their understanding of the technical side of theatre design along the way.
We are exceptionally proud of our relationship with the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama as it continues to be such a fundamental tool that continues to raise aspirations within the Performing Arts.
