Student selected to perform at Cheltenham Music Festival

IMG 9669Year 11 All Saints' Academy student Hope-Louise will be performing at the Cheltenham Music Festival this year.

Having a keen interest in performing arts Hope-Louise has been involved in many Academy productions including the musicals Loserville and Beauty and the Beast. Hope-Louise is a strong vocalist and is a long serving member of the Academy choir. She first heard about a possible opportunity to sing at the Music Festival from Music Teacher Mr Aitchison. Hope-Louise was thrilled after finding out she was successful in gaining two solo performances on the stage.

The concert named ‘Thrones, Swords and Fantasy’ is a celebration of Film and Game Music. Hope-Louise will be performing amongst many other musicians including The Bristol Ensemble, with Robin A. Smith conducting. The concert takes place on Saturday 7th July, 8.30pm – 9.45pm, tickets cost £18.

Hope-Louise will be performing May it be from Lord of the Rings and Now we are free from the popular film Gladiator. Hope-Louise said ‘there is a really cool mixture of TV and movie music from amazing composers. It is mainly being performed by students. I think it’s going to be fantastic!’

Hope-Louise will be studying Music at All Saints’ Academy Sixth Form next year alongside Drama, Dance and English Literature.
