Year 6 Maths Challenge

Posted: 12th February 2025

Today, All Saints’ Academy had the pleasure of hosting an exciting Year 6 Maths Challenge, welcoming pupils from Rowanfield, St Greg’s, Holy Apostles, and St Thomas More Primary Schools. The event was designed to challenge students’ problem-solving skills while encouraging collaboration and teamwork in a fun and engaging environment.

Throughout the day, students worked in mixed teams, tackling a range of mathematical challenges that tested their logic, reasoning, and arithmetic skills. The competition encouraged them to think critically, communicate effectively, and support one another in finding solutions to complex problems.

The challenge concluded with an awards ceremony, where the winning team was announced and celebrated for their outstanding performance. However, every participant left as a winner, receiving a certificate of achievement as recognition for their hard work and participation.

A huge thank you to our fantastic Year 7 helpers, who assisted the primary pupils during the challenge. Their support ensured the smooth running of the day and helped create a positive experience for all involved.

We are incredibly proud of all the Year 6 pupils who took part and demonstrated such enthusiasm and perseverance.
