We are thrilled to announce that All Saints’ Academy is set to immerse you in a world under the sea as we proudly present Walt Disney’s iconic musical, ‘The Little Mermaid.’ This enchanting tale of love, friendship, and self-discovery is brought to life by our talented students, ranging from Year 7 to Year 13, who will grace the stage with their ‘fin-tastic’ performances.
Join us on a captivating journey from Thursday, 29th February 2024, to Saturday, 2nd March 2024, as we transport you to the depths of the ocean and the wonders of the kingdom on land. The story revolves around Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, as she dreams of a life above the waves. With a collection of human artefacts and the desire to pursue the human Prince Eric, Ariel strikes a deal with the conniving sea witch Ursula. However, the bargain takes an unexpected turn, and Ariel must rely on her colourful friends to set things right under the sea.
The cast includes a delightful ensemble of characters, from the mischievous Flounder and the wise-cracking Scuttle to the charming Sebastian, all of whom contribute to the laughter and joy in the underwater world. Prince Eric, accompanied by his trusty sidekick Grimsby, is bewitched by Ariel’s song, creating a tale filled with exploration, discoveries, and undeniable magic.
Featuring music by the renowned Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and a compelling book by Doug Wright, ‘The Little Mermaid’ promises to capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including classics like “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl,” and “Part of Your World.”
