Students fast for 24 hours to raise money for the Ebola crisis

Posted: 3rd December 2014

Nearly 70 students from the All Saints Academy in Cheltenham spent 24 hours in school overnight without food to raise money for CAFOD to help control the Ebola crisis. The idea was to raise money to help with the crisis as well as an opportunity for the students to learn more about the crisis and how their money will help. Many activities were organised by the staff who all volunteered their time and great fun was had playing table tennis to singing karaoke!

Over £1,000 was raised in the 24 hours and this money will be presented to CAFOD to help with their relief campaign. Phil Gibbons from cliftondiocese.com spoke with a couple of the students and staff who were taking part just after they had started the fast.
