Sixth Form Students Experience an Inspiring Day at Parliament

Posted: 9th December 2025

This week, our Sixth Formers enjoyed an unforgettable visit to the Houses of Parliament.

The group joined Bishop Rachel, MPs, prison governors and fellow students from across the country for a series of thoughtful and engaging discussions focused on the prison system in the UK. The event offered a rare opportunity to delve into the challenges and ongoing developments within the justice system, encouraging students to reflect critically on issues of rehabilitation, policy, and social responsibility.

A particular highlight of the day was hearing Amy deliver a brilliant and confidently presented speech in the House of Lords’ prestigious River Room. Her contribution was warmly received and stood out as a proud moment for our school community.

Following the formal sessions, students capped off their visit with some well-deserved sightseeing around London, taking in the city’s iconic landmarks and enjoying time together after a stimulating day of learning.

It was a memorable experience that broadened horizons and offered an invaluable insight into the workings of government and public service.
