National Careers Week
Monday 1st March - Friday 5th March 2021
This week we will be celebrating National Careers Week. Here is the schedule for the week.
Monday 1st March
“Why I love learning.”
Many of our students recognise that they may need a degree to be able to go on to a chosen career, for example, a Criminologist.
Others simply love learning and want to continue to study after the age of 18.
Higher level education may be the next step for you.
Tuesday 2nd March
For some careers, you may want to train whilst you work.
You would get a salary for working but also gain qualifications as you train.
This may lead to a permanent job or on to Higher Education.
Wednesday 3rd March
What is an ‘Engineer’?
Many of your future careers will be influenced by the subjects that you learn during your time at All Saints' Academy.
The skills of problem solving, time management and creativity are all essential for careers in Engineering.
Thursday 4th March
Working in the Cyber Industry
Lots of students spend their free-time on computers or on Social Media.
There are many Cyber industry careers that involve many of the everyday skills that you practise on your computers.
Take a look at the videos below to learn about future opportunities for you in Cyber industries which are growing rapidly in Cheltenham!
Friday 5th March
‘employable, wage, salary, full-time’….these are all words used in all jobs. But what do they mean?
Take our key words quiz to test your knowledge of the words we use when we talk about Careers.
