Year 7 Applications for September 2021
All students transferring to secondary schools in the normal cycle at the end of Year 6 will receive a letter about the process from the Local Authority (normally in the autumn term). The Academy’s Published Admissions Number (PAN) for Phase One (Year 7) intake each year is 180 students.
After the admission of students with statements of Special Educational Need where All Saints’ Academy is named on the statement, places will be offered to Looked After Children. A Looked After Child is a child who is (a) in the care of the local authority, or (b) being provided with accommodation by a local authority in the exercise of their social services functions. Priority will then be given to Previously Looked After Children. A Previously Looked After Child is a child who was looked after, but ceased to be so because they were adopted, or became subject to a residence order or special guardianship order immediately following their being looked after.

All applications for places at the Academy outside of the normal admissions round should be made directly to the Academy.

School Admissions Appeals
In accordance with the The School Admissions Code the Academy will ensure that appeals lodged by the appropriate deadlines are heard within the following timescales:
a) for applications made in the normal admissions round, appeals must be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals;
b) for late applications, appeals will be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged;
c) for applications to Sixth Form:
i) where the offer of a place would have been conditional upon exam results, appeals will be heard within 30 school days of confirmation of those results;
ii) where the offer of a place would not have been conditional upon exam results, appeals will be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals;
d) for applications for in-year admissions, appeals will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
Does the Academy admit students with statements of Special Educational Needs?
The Academy is fully inclusive and caters for students of all abilities. We have full regard to the SEN code of practice and statutory guidance on inclusion. The Academy’s independent status does not affect parents’ rights to appeal to SEN and Disability Tribunal.
