How do you include parents and students when planning support?

As described above for all students identified with additional needs we write to parents to inform and invite them to come and discuss their child’s additional needs. This will be an opportunity to discuss both support in school and advice on how best to support your child at home.

Where students have a statement or EHC plan parents may have the opportunity to discuss support through primary school transition reviews or pre-transition visits. Parents are welcome to make an appointment with the SENDCo at any point.
