Students win Pupil Choice Award at Go4Set challenge

Picture1Go4SET links teams of six pupils with employers and universities in a 10 week Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Project.

On Friday the 5th 6 pupils spent the morning in GE Aviation in Bishops Cleeve working with their apprentices and touring the facilities on the secure site. This trip formed part of the final ‘industrial contact’ meeting before the regional final in at the end of May.

The pupils have been working on a project entitled ‘Our School is an Island’ which asks the pupils to design and model an eco-school based on a desert island, thinking about everything from the structure to the curriculum right down to the toilets!

The regional final included a presentation to industry and universities. The team made a good impression and won the Pupil's Choice Award.
